On the 130th birth anniversary of the architect of the Indian Constitution Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, a ceremony was conducted at the office of Siddharth College of Law at Fort, Mumbai in the presence of People's Education Society (PES) Chairman and social worker Anandraj Ambedkar. This happens to be the same place where the very first managing committee headed by Dr Ambedkar held office.

Grandson of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, Anandraj Ambedkar celebrated his birth anniversary by offering garlands to the image of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and Lord Buddha. He was accompanied by Governing Body Member Adv Sangharaj Rupwate, Siddharth College of Law I/C Principal Sandhya Dokhe and the Siddharth College of Law's teaching and administrative staff.
People's Education Society was founded on 8 July 1945 by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. The Society runs various academic institutions throughout India including the Siddharth College of Law established in 1956 at Fort, Mumbai.
In keeping with the recent surge in COVID-19 cases across the nation and, particularly so in Maharashtra, the state Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had appealed to people to tone down the Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations and told them to celebrate at home and not crowd at Chaityabhoomi - the cremation place of Dr B R Ambedkar or Rajgruha - the official residence of Late Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.
